2015 United Mavericks Night On The Town event

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the 2015 United Mavericks Night On The Town event at Jericho Terrace. I was one of many people that volunteered their time for this event. I think all the planning really showed from high calibre of this event.

For those of you that do not know, United Mavericks is a non-profit social group of “rugged individualists” that contribute to philanthropic and charitable causes. This invite-only group began in 2013 and all the proceeds from last night’s event went to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In fact, United Mavericks supports a lot of good causes with their events. This event was no exception.

At this event, United Mavericks’s honoured Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano (his wife, Linda Mangano, looked beautiful as always) and David L. Mammina. Music was performed by New York’s Most Dangerous Big Band! The 23 piece orchestra was awesome and the singers completed the night. The food was excellent and came from some of the finest restaurants in the area. Some of my favourites were Piccola Bussola Ristorante in Mineola, Vincent’s Clam Bar and Mio Posto. I thought it was one of the best events I’ve gone to all year and I had a blast at the event.

The event was full of people and I’m sure it greatly benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the largest voluntary not-for-profit health organization dedicated to blood cancer research in the world. It was awesome to see so many people getting together to support such a great cause. I’m sure a lot of money was raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I’ve put together an album of pictures from the event that are available on My facebook. We took over 500 pictures, which should all be going up shortly.
