Notes from My Assistant
I work as Stephanie’s assistant at her new office in South Hempstead. I assist Stephanie with anything that needs to be done in the office and manage her websites and social media accounts. But every now and then I find myself doing something completely random like making a gift certificate for a raffle.
Ever since I began working for Stephanie her cellphone has not stopped ringing and when her cellphone is not ringing her Apple watch is (I didn’t know they did that!). She always answers her phone. Sometimes she’s laughing, sometimes she’s yelling. It is pretty unpredictable. The calls are mostly from clients who are friends and family.
I’ve worked for lawyers before and I know that they all have a way of keeping sane. (It’s necessary.) Stephanie’s is working out. We start our work day around 9 AM and by that time Stephanie has already worked out and sent her children off to school. I started working for Stephanie a few weeks ago and I can honestly say she is a very busy woman. Possibly, the busiest woman I’ve ever met Stephanie wears many hats. You won’t believe it until you see it firsthand. She’s an attorney, mother of 8, radio host, and business owner.
I’ve seen Stephanie meet with a new client 20 minutes before a court date and make it on time. I’ve seen Stephanie attempt to drive, do her makeup, and call the bank all at once and although, things get hectic Stephanie manages to get every task done.
So far what I’ve learned from Stephanie is to manage my time wisely and to never underestimate what can be done in 24 hours.
