A beloved Wrestling sensation, an adored actor and a millionaire- Dwayne The Rock Johnson dropped a people’s elbow by stating that he might seek the president’s office in the next US elections and become the next President of the US. Considering the joyous nature of the superstar it might be a joke, but there is no harm in speculating.
Before Ronald Reagan became the president in 1980, having an actor at the helm seemed to unrealistic at that time. However, 2016 showcased a victory scenario that nobody expected when Trump reached the top of the mountain and won the 2016 election as he beat the former Secretary of State- Hillary Clinton.
With Linda McMahon serving in Donald Trump’s cabinet, lines are being drawn that The Rock can have an edge if he decides to go against Trump in the 2020 US Elections. “I wouldn’t rule it out.” spoke The Rock.”It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it is possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.” he said.
Dwayne Johnson has never been upfront or vocal about politics. However, he has been registered as a Republican in the past and also appeared during Republican National Convention in Philadelphia as his wrestling persona in order to encourage the people to register for votes.
Back in July, The Rock sent out a response to the massive support for his possible candidature.
“As time goes on, [I will] take the temperature of the American people,” he told Good Morning America. “If it is a very real, overwhelming, positive, strong, ‘We want you to run for president’, and I felt that I can step up to the place and become a tremendous leader for our country, and make a real difference and make change, I would do it.”
Considering his huge fan following and the fact that if each one his 70.3 million instagram followers shed their support and vote for the man, then the former wrestler has a strong chance of going all the way and becoming the President of the United States of America.
